Valley of Fire State Park

If you are looking for a great place to go hiking, whether it be backcountry or just a day hike, The Valley of Fire State Park near Las Vegas, Nevada should be on your list.

The views here are unbelievable. It looks like everything is ablaze, especially on a sunshiny day. Of course, it can get quite hot here in the middle of summertime. It's a good thing that it is fall and the temperatures are falling!

Fall is a great time to hike the Valley of Fire State Park. Take a look at sightseeingreview.com for more information and tips on some of the gear you may want to consider for your hike through the Valley of Fire State Park!!

The Valley of Fire State Park is very close to Las Vegas. If you have never been there, you really need to check it out!! I lived there for a couple of years, and had some of the best times.

Snow Skiing is nearby at Mt. Charleston, You can go hiking at Red Rock Canyon (or, of course Valley of Fire State Park). Zion Canyon in Utah is only a short drive away.

The city itself is simply amazing. Activity surrounds you everywhere. Gambling is not the only thing there is to do. Several great shows can be seen that are very inexpensive.

The weather is definitely beginning to change. Yes, the days are getting shorter and the darkness is falling upon us earlier in the evenings. The smells and sights of fall and approaching winter are all around.

The air is beginning to feel cooler, and the days when the sun is shining are not as warm as they once were. The beauty of the changing colors is beginning to appear. The leaves are starting to turn, especially in the higher elevations. This is a great time to take a drive or a motorcycle ride through the mountains.
Of course, if you want to take a break from the colder temperatures (at least during the day), you could go to the Valley of Fire State Parknear Las Vegas.
This place stays pretty warm during the daytime, even in the fall and parts of the winter. Since it is in the desert, however, the nights can get pretty cold. If you are thinking about camping in the Valley of Fire State Park this fall or winter, make sure you have a really, really warm sleeping bag, and cold weather clothing.
